We are NOT currently accepting applications.

All MDIC image consultants are trained through our comprehensive Image Intensive Training program.  The chosen consultant(s) will then continue with Milena Distinctive Image Consulting as commissioned stylists.  We have developed a very detailed interview process to make sure we recruit only the best.

Step 1.  Review the Milena Distinctive Image Consulting (MDIC) website, blog and social media sites to get a clear understanding of our style, our clients, and our services to determine if MDIC is the right place for you. 

Step 2.  Submit your cover letter, resume and references to info@milenaconsulting.com with the subject line "Milena Distinctive Image Training" by May 15.  Your cover letter should state why you would be a valuable asset to MDIC, why you would like a career with MDIC and where you would like to see your career in the next 3 years. (If you have previously submitted your resume, you will still need to do this step.)

Step 3.  Phone interviews will be conducted with selected applicants.

Step 4.  In-person interviews will be conducted with selected candidates (1 hour).

Step 5.  In-Style interviews will be conducted.  We wants to make sure you "live the look".  You will go through a personal wardrobe evaluation as well as take a basic fashion knowledge assessment.

Step 6.  Selected candidates will be submitted for a background check.  Up to three candidates will be selected for training.

Step 7.  Training is scheduled February 7th - February 11th, from 9-5pm.  Training tuition is $1250.  See below to find out what your tuition covers and why you should be a part of MDIC.

Image Consultant Job Description

COMPENSATION: Commissioned
HOURS: Part-time and Full-Time

SUMMARY

Evaluate a client’s current style challenge and develop a plan that honors the clients' body, budget and lifestyle.  Be knowledgeable in current fashion and classic style in order to teach clients how to look their best.  You will be a commissioned employee that will independently secure clients by performing various marketing functions, such as, networking, speaking engagements, classes and events.  These marketing functions will help you generate qualified leads and then you will perform traditional sales functions, such as, closing a client and getting the style job.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Conduct Style Assessments, Wardrobe Edits & Personal Shopping
  • Teach classes, workshops, and in-home parties to build cliental
  • Build relationships with boutiques and other synergistic businesse
  • Attend networking events and to find clients and partners
  • Generate leads and close clients during the sales process
  • Attend weekly training meetings
  • Coordinate appointments and control your own schedule
  • Maintain client file system in your home office
  • Maintain required personal supplies and equipment (see below)
  • Respond to inquires within 24 hours
  • Maintain MDIC client confidentiality
  • Follow the MDIC client procedures
  • Represent MDIC
  • All other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Customer Service, Sales and Networking

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: Digital Camera, Computer with Internet, Email, Cell phone (with VM, TXT and Email), Color Printer

SUPPLIES: Heavy-duty metal rolling rack, full-length mirror, natural lighting stand, fabric tape measure, magnetic necklace, fabric swatches for color analysis

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Need to be able to lift rolling rack into client’s homes and lift heavy garbage bags filled with clothes out of homes.  Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of times.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: You will be working in your home (if you choose), your client’s home and retail stores.
