Milena is passionate about helping people look and feel their best. As an image consultant she is able to transform the way people physically and emotionally feel about themselves by creating an image that positively reflects who they are on the inside.
Milena's clients benefit most from her eye for style and her ability to harmonize it with their unique personality, preferences, comfort level, body shape, and lifestyle. She recognizes that what you see on the runway and in fashion magazines doesn't necessarily work for everyone. Her personal style is best described as classic with a splash of creative glamour. She thrives at helping each client discover and create their own distinctive style.
Although her primary clientele is located locally in Colorado, her client list spans across the country and internationally, including: Denmark, Canada, New York, Ohio, Minnesota, Nevada, California and many more!
Education
Milena earned her image certification at the Image Resource Center of New York. She is a member of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) and serves as the VP of Membership for the Salt Lake City Chapter Board. She is a committee member of the AICI Give Back Philanthropy Project. Her membership to the association keeps her informed on current trends in the industry and accountable to continuing her image education.
Milena is an honors graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. She earned a B.A. in Business Administration - Marketing Management and minored in Advertising. Her degree is still at the core of what she does today - helping individuals create a positive personal "brand" and manage their image.
Giving Back
She spends much of her time working with non-profit organization and donating her services for silent auction items. Milena is a lifetime member and volunteer for Girls Inc. Alliance, an organization committed to assisting Girls Inc. by providing program volunteers, conducting fundraising activities and granting educational scholarships. Milena believes a positive image is built from the inside out. Girls Incorporated of Metro Denver is an organization that inspires girls to be "Strong, Smart, Bold!".
Milena is also the Facilitator Committee Chair for the Junior League of Denver. She encourages her clients to donate their previously loved items to the organization's "Second Time Shop", a re-sale boutique that has generated more than $2.4 million to support the mission and focus of the Junior League.

Professional associations, women’s groups, and corporate clients such as Wells Fargo, Steris, MillerCoors and the Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce have all been inspired by our image philosophies. Based in Denver, Colorado, MDIC advises clients in the Rocky Mountain State and around the globe including Denmark, Australia and Canada. MDIC is the main sponsor and creator of Coats of Joy, an annual coat drive to collect coats for Denver’s homeless. Milena Joy is a corporate and personal image consultant, author, and motivational speaker. Founder of Milena Distinctive Image Consulting, Milena Joy started the company to share her love of fashion and its power to transform the lives of men and women. Milena co-authored Inspired Style, a book featuring advice from top fashion and image experts across the country. She is also featured in the recently released CRAVE Denver guidebook featuring Denver’s most sought after women owned businesses. She has contributed style insight to media including The Denver Post, Denver Magazine, Colorado Parent Magazine, Denver Life Magazine, and AOL Stylist. Milena is passionate about community involvement and is an active member of the Girls Inc. Alliance, Rocky Mountain Active 20-30, and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Colorado. Blair Ver Meer
Blair Ver Meer is a corporate and personal image consultant and motivational speaker. Blair aspires to build confidence in others through the art of fashion. Her positive attitude and honest advice enable clients to determine the style that best reflects their individual personality. Blair enjoys teaching clients how to shop based on their body, budget and lifestyle, and seeing both the inner and outer transformation that takes place. Her enthusiasm for helping others is evident in the way she gives back to her community by participating in non-profit organizations Race for the Cure and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Blair earned her image certification through Milena Distinctive Image Consulting and was hand selected among many participates to be the first stylist to join the MDIC team. She has been trained and mentored by Milena Joy. Blair is a graduate of the Baylor University earning a degree in Marketing with a concentration in Fashion Merchandising. Phoebe Waggoner
Phoebe Waggoner is a Denver native who believes true style comes from within. As corporate and personal image consultant and motivational speaker, Phoebe enjoys passing along her knowledge and experience in fashion to help her clients look their best based on their individual style, body type and lifestyle. Phoebe’s clients are drawn to her confident and friendly personality. She takes the guess work out of the details such as style, cut and color and makes her clients feel at ease. Phoebe has been active in various philanthropic endeavors, such as the Make A Wish Foundation, Isabella's Gift Foundation and The Children’s Hospital. Phoebe earned her degree in Fashion Business from Fashion Careers College in San Diego where she received numerous academic awards. Phoebe then went on to earn her image certification through Milena Distinctive Image Consulting and has been trained and mentored by Milena Joy. She has experience in fashion styling, fashion show production and public relations.
